I agree with the comments above. I am very impressed with what I have heard so far. The real test is in days and months when we see if they are becoming annoying or iconic. Currently, I am hoping for the latter.

Really, are the old ones from 1997? That must be one of the longest running jingle packages... not that it sounded dated at all.iSon wrote:Superb! They sound amazing - and also fit in nicely with the original 1997 sound too. And it's nice that to hear a proper orchestra in action too - there's no substitute.
Not 100 percent sure about the news jingle from the new package (seems a little short for my liking as I have heard a few presenters crash into the logo already), but the rest is brilliant! Some of the jingles do have that rather 'special' sound that only Wise Buddah can create (see Love Jingle - A) but they all sound fresh and help to give the station a lift which is nice. Glad they also kept the sonic logo, they would have been daft if they never as everyone knows that theme and connect it with the station. On a similar note about themes, I was surprised when Sky Radio re-branded last year they dropped their iconic branding with the switch to Wise Buddah (their old logo was in use for well over a decade). That then meant, although Sky's new jingles are nice, there just like any other AC jingle package.
Interesting edition of the Earshot Creative Review, featuring the new jingles project leader from Radio 2.

I heard these for the first time the other day - it's almost like they've tried to recreate the normal jingle but aren't quite sure what the notes are, because the notes sound similar to the old jingle, but the pattern and actual notes are different, if only slight.

Is it just my ears or does it sound like they're singing "Steve Fart in the afternoon"?
