it's just I do a fair bit of website work in my job and I've never seen that behaviour, just curious about what is going on, or whether your web host is playing silly buggers!

the only thing I've had happen which was similarly intermittent - but a completely different error, is on the hosting we have (which is our own private server running Plesk for management) is when I turn on forward caching with nginx, I sometimes get the odd gateway time out which would never show as being related to nginx, but went away when I disabled it... I have left it as all our sites are built with Wordpress and it makes a noticeable difference in page load times.. but it's certainly strange how it comes and goes, I haven't noticed if it happens more when there are more people on the site... but weird. interested to know what it is when you do sus it out!
