There an election this year.....

I've had the biggest variety of leaflets I can remember for a General Election. Unusually, for my area, I've also seen a number of Labour posters, and not a single Conservative one.

I also can't think of anyone I've spoken to who has said they'll vote Conservative, including at least one lifelong voter. There's enough of a variety of scandals for one or the other to cut through for everyone I've spoken to.

I know a lot has been made of newspaper endorsements having essentially no meaning or influence these days, but I wonder if a Racing Post endorsement will be noticed considering the betting scandal...

I've had numerous postal delivery issues for months, but the Royal Mail prioritised Election Communication mail that it was delivered at 8pm on Saturday night, yet I'm still waiting for my polling card.

Got my postal vote on Friday. I've been affected by the boundary changes, so my village has been split in half, and our MP is based in a town that is further away, part of another borough, and part of another county (Cheshire). Ngl, not a fan of our Labour candidate

As ever, nothing whatsoever where I live.

Add me to that list.

I'm in a similar position with my postcode now split between two constituencies. Walk across the road and I'll be in the new constituency.

The issue with my boundary change is that the election communication is talking about other areas that I don't go to or use their amenities. It was already bad enough that the seat was already focused on the neighbouring London Borough, but with only three wards in my borough making up the new constituency, I'm going to be less represented whoever wins.

Got a leaflet for the Tory candidate this morning... clearly the Vote Labour poster in the window didn't give them a strong enough message.

I’ve figured out the tories’ election strategy:
  1. Become as disliked as possible
  2. ???
  3. Profit

Well, they've certainly given it a hell of a good go with gamblegate (if that's what it's known as).

Still 8 more days, plenty of time for it to get worse. I know it seems like it can't, but we've thought that several times already.
