What next for the Tories? Rishi was their most popular leader in years (at least initially in the Covid days). Unfortunately he inherited a Tory government poisoned by the Johnson and Truss regimes. Hard to see anyone in the running that can win them the next election - surely must be another generation before they are back in government.
Well the irony is that Sunak is actually proving to be quite good in opposition. His speech in the Commons was humble and respectful. Their best bet is actually maybe to keep him as leader for a few years and try to become a sensible party again.

Of course that won’t happen and they’ll go full on headbanger though.

A lot of the top brass of the party were culled in the election. Heck, even the 1922 committee had to pick a new chair. The Tories are notoriously disloyal, so they wouldn't stick behind Sunak for too long anyway, even if he chose to stay as leader.
